Football Recap: North Lincoln Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for North Lincoln's offense. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of the East Lincoln Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since October 2, 2024.

Grant Lawless had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 268 yards and five TDs while completing 75.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 49 yards and a pair of scores for East Lincoln. Lawless is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyson Maggs, who picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

North Lincoln is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for East Lincoln, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

North Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-6 loss against Hickory on the 26th. As for East Lincoln, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-0 victory against Bunker Hill on the 26th.
