Softball Recap: Suwannee Bulldogs vs. Hamilton County Trojans

Suwannee won the last time they faced Hamilton County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 7-3 win over the Trojans.

Kayden Green looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Suwannee got a massive performance out of Addison Petersen, who scored two runs and stole five bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Petersen has posted since back in February. Kirsten Yaun was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

Suwannee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamilton County only posted a batting average of .042.

Suwannee's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Hamilton County, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Coincidentally, Suwannee and Hamilton County will both be playing North Florida Christian the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trojans will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
