Basketball Recap: Lithia Springs Triumphs

On Saturday, it was close, but the Lithia Springs Lions ultimately received the gift of a 43-40 win from a begrudging Lions squad.

Landon Thomas and Kaiden James certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Thomas dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while James went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points and seven boards.

Lithia Springs is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Callaway, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Lithia Springs and Mt. Zion will round out the year against one another at at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Callaway, they will host Heard County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
