Basketball Recap: Southern Coffey County Comes Up Short

Southern Coffey County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Tyro Christian Eagles 43-16. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 35-30 loss back in January.

Cheyenne Dykee was Southern Coffey County's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Dykee also led the team in rebounds with ten. Kennedy Gunlock took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Southern Coffey County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Tyro Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Coming up, Southern Coffey County will take on Madison on Friday. Tyro Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Liberty HomeSchool Alliance at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.
