Basketball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Union Grove Christian's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Union Grove Christian lost against North Davidson back in February of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots took a 76-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black Knights. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (64), the Patriots still had to take the loss.

Union Grove Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Calvin Miller, who went 12-for-21 to rack up 39 points. The game was his third in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Ben Johnson, who posted seven points along with ten boards and seven assists.

North Davidson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Everhart, who shot 58% from the field en route to 19 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Those five steals gave Everhart a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Rush, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

With the defeat, Union Grove Christian broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4. As for North Davidson, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Union Grove Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-40 win against Alamance Christian on the 2nd. As for North Davidson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 77-56 loss against Ledford on the 2nd.
