Basketball Game Preview: Valley Christian Trojans vs. Seton Catholic Sentinels

The Valley Christian Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Seton Catholic Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Valley Christian is headed into Friday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coolidge on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Seton Catholic was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Florence 61-25. The Sentinels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 25 points or more this season.

Seton Catholic is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Valley Christian, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 14-8.

Valley Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Seton Catholic in their previous matchup on January 10th, but they still walked away with a 50-46 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valley Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
