Baseball Game Preview: Oceanside Pirates vs. Fallbrook Warriors

The Oceanside Pirates will be taking part in a tournament against the Fallbrook Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oceanside will be strutting in after a win while Fallbrook will be coming in after a loss.

Oceanside's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over La Jolla. The Pirates have beaten the Vikings the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Vikings has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Fallbrook suffered their closest defeat since April 3, 2025 on Tuesday. They fell just short of San Dieguito Academy by a score of 7-5.

Titus Hansen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Waylon Puikunas, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Oceanside's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Fallbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Oceanside was able to grind out a solid victory over Fallbrook in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 6-2. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
