Recap: Gadsden County Jaguars vs. Godby Cougars
The Gadsden County Jaguars and the Godby Cougars squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Gadsden County Jaguars had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Cougars on the road and fell 56-4. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gadsden County has scored all season.
Godby was led to victory by Cristina Brown and Kenijah Clayton. Brown scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Clayton scored 16 points along with eight steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Lewis, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Gadsden County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Godby, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.
Gadsden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Godby's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rutherford on February 9th. Rutherford is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
