Recap: Trinity Wolves vs. Loyalton Grizzlies
The Trinity Wolves were the 42-36 winner over the Loyalton Grizzlies when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Trinity fell 53-42 to Loyalton on Saturday. Trinity has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Trinity's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Luka Robles, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. Taylor Rhein was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Loyalton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Shelby, who dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 blocks. The matchup was Shelby's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gus Petterson, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds.
Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Loyalton, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Los Molinos at 7:30 a.m. on December 5th. As for Loyalton, they will square off against Princeton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
