Basketball Recap: Gateway Falls to Rangeview in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Gateway had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Rangeview Raiders, falling 89-36. The Olympians haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Gateway's loss came despite strong showings from Colt Wenzel and Nkosi Hunt. Wenzel posted seven points and eight rebounds, while Hunt had six points and six boards.

Archie Weatherspoon V was a one-man wrecking crew For Rangeview. as he went 13-for-14 on his way to 33 points. Those 33 points gave Weatherspoon V a new career-high. Marceles Duncan was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Coming up, Gateway will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on DMLK at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rangeview, they will venture away from home to face off against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
