Basketball Recap: Windsor Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Windsor Academy and Gatewood squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Windsor Academy had to settle for second. They fell to the Gatewood Gators 56-50. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Gators: they've now lost eight in a row.

Windsor Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Trinity Blasingame, who posted 11 points. What's more, she also posted a 38% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Kyndall Bowen was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Even though they lost, Windsor Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Windsor Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-22. As for Gatewood, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Windsor Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gatewood, they will challenge Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
