Macomb extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 4-1. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 48-44 W against the Illini West Chargers. That's more bragging rights for the Bombers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Illini West, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Illini West's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wesley Robertson, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Grady Blue, who posted eight points and four steals.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Macomb will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Quincy Notre Dame at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Illini West, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Monroe City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
