Softball Recap: West Liberty-Salem Gets the Win

West Liberty-Salem won against Northeastern on Saturday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Tigers walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Cedarville Indians. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Karlee Lucas, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Emily King also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

West Liberty-Salem's record now sits at 7-13. As for Cedarville, they moved to 15-4 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, West Liberty-Salem is taking a road trip to take on Greeneview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Cedarville, they will square off against Triad at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
