Football Recap: Sumter Central Comes Up Short at Home Against Choctaw County

Sumter Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 34-8 to the Choctaw County Tigers on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sumter Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Thorsby at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Choctaw County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southern Choctaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
