Football Game Preview: Cabrini Monarchs vs. Richard Pioneers + How To Watch

Cabrini is 0-7 against Richard since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Monarchs will square off against the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Cabrini is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Bradford Academy, posting a 45-8 win. The Monarchs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cabrini's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Roman, who rushed for 129 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards Roman has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Bergdoll, who threw for 169 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Meanwhile, Richard's offense rose to the challenge against a Gators defense that boasted an average of only 13.7 points allowed on Saturday. The Pioneers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Academy for Business & Tech 34-6. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Cabrini's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Richard, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Cabrini took a serious blow against Richard in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 48-0. Can the Monarchs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
