Softball Recap: Peebles Indians vs. North Adams Green Devils
Peebles came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the North Adams Green Devils by a score of 10-8 on Thursday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Kaelyn Musser was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Kendall Myers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Reese Davis, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
This is the second loss in a row for Peebles and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for North Adams, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
