If Oxford Prep was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Kerr-Vance Academy on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Griffins lost 3-0 to the Wake Prep Academy Guardians on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Griffins in their meetings with the Guardians: they've now lost three in a row.

Oxford Prep took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 26-24.

Oxford Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wake Prep Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
