Burncoat piles up the points against Gardner

Recap: Burncoat Patriots vs. Gardner Wildcats

The Burncoat Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 85-29 win over Gardner. The win was just business as usual for Burncoat, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Leading Burncoat to victory were Cheyton Marshall and Kevin Dunn. Marshall scored 13 points, while Dunn scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jayden Mwangi, who scored ten points.

Burncoat pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Gardner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burncoat will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against South at 6:30 p.m. on January 3rd. South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Burncoat is ranked seventh). As for Gardner, they will head out on the road to face off against Granby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
