Volleyball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline lost against Blackfoot back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grizzlies came up short against the Broncos, falling 3-0. The Grizzlies' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

While Skyline was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Blackfoot's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-24, 28-26.

Sofia Dennert paced Skyline's offense, picking up eight kills. Dennert got some help from Addi Loosli and her 29 assists. Loosli was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Blackfoot, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.

Coming up, Skyline will challenge Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blackfoot, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Bonneville on the 2nd.
