Clarksville had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They walked away with a 25-14 victory over the Antioch Bears.

One reason for the win was Clarksville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for ten sacks. In that department, Dawson Smith was the leader with three. Nate Parada was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks and making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Antioch lost, don't look at Andre Adams. Despite the final result, he threw for 327 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 41 yards and one score. 98 of Adams' passing yards were hauled in by Brandon Goliday, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Clarksville's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Antioch, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Clarksville and Antioch should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Wildcats will square off against Cane Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (46 vs. 181). Meanwhile, Antioch (ranked 40th) will meet Rossview (ranked 163rd) on Thursday.
