Volleyball Recap: Joplin Eagles vs. Central Bulldogs        
        
		
             Joplin was the  2-0 winner over Central when they last played one another  back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Joplin Eagles took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Bulldogs on Tuesday.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 20-25, 25-23,  25-20.
 Despite the loss, Joplin still got an impressive performance from   Lucy Erisman, who  had 16  digs.
 Leading Central to victory were  Taniya Fewell and  Hedda Werner-Click.  Fewell  had 11  digs and two  aces, while  Werner-Click  had 15  digs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alana LaBelle, who  had six  digs and four  aces.
 Joplin's loss was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Central, their win  ended  an  eight-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-1.
 Joplin will welcome Glendale  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Central, they will look to defend their home court  on Saturday against Knob Noster  at 12:45  p.m.
