Recap: Casa Roble Rams vs. Dixon Rams
The Casa Roble Rams came tearing into Wednesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 74-54 margin over Dixon. Given Casa Roble's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while Dixon is ranked 957th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Casa Roble got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Benny Ambriz out in front who scored 24 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Ambriz is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Moses Oginni, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Casa Roble is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Dixon, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Casa Roble will head out on the road to challenge Mira Loma at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dixon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mesa Verde at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mesa Verde is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
