Soccer Game Preview: Marbury vs. Chilton County

The Marbury Bulldogs will start their season against the Chilton County Tigers. Kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Marbury will be up against a hot Chilton County squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Chilton County was the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Holy Family Catholic on Saturday. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

As for Marbury, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the wrong side of .500 (7-9), but they'll be hoping to turn things around this year.

Marbury came up short against Chilton County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 5-3. Can Marbury avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
