Basketball Recap: Tri-State Christian Comes Up Short

Tri-State Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Quad Cities Christian Eagles, falling 59-35. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Quad Cities Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Garant, who went 6 for 12 to rack up 13 points and five steals. Garant is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Korbin Wolf was another key player, going 6 of 8 en route to 12 points.

Tri-State Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Quad Cities Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

Coming up, Tri-State Christian will face off against East Moline Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Quad Cities Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-34 victory against Pathway Christian on the 7th.
