Basketball Recap: Beatty Takes a Loss

Beatty played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Round Mountain Knights and fell 64-23. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent defeat being a 62-16 loss two weeks ago.

Layla Faga had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a triple-double with 24 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 steals for Round Mountain. Those 24 points gave Faga a new career-high. Baylee Dutton was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 steals.

Beatty has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Round Mountain, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Beatty will square off against rival Indian Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Round Mountain is set to take on their familiar foe Tonopah at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
