Basketball Recap: Elkhorn Gets the Win

Crete came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Elkhorn, but Peter Howard wouldn't allow it. The Elkhorn Antlers secured a 58-53 W over the Crete Cardinals on Saturday thanks in part to Howard, who went 6 of 10 en route to 22 points. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high.

Elkhorn's record is now 6-7. As for Crete, their loss ended a 14-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3.

Elkhorn will take on Bennington on Friday. Bennington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.1 points per game this season. As for Crete, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Schuyler at 7:15 p.m. on February 4th.
