Delsea is a perfect 6-0 against Gloucester County Tech since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against Gloucester County Tech at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Delsea fell victim to Triton and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. The Crusaders' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Delsea saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Milo Gebhard, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Gebhard has hit this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gloucester County Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Timber Creek Regional on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1.

Zack Hahn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Gloucester County Tech is 6-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-3-1 otherwise.

Delsea's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Gloucester County Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Delsea has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Gloucester County Tech struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Delsea skirted past Gloucester County Tech 4-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do Gloucester County Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
