Basketball Recap: Chamois Comes Up Short

Chamois lost against St. Elizabeth back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Chamois Pirates took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Elizabeth Hornets. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Nick Heckemeyer, who went 8 for 15 en route to 17 points along with six assists and five boards for St. Elizabeth. Another player making a difference was Noah Chipman, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 12 points.

Chamois' loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for St. Elizabeth, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Chamois won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lighthouse Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chamois is facing Lighthouse Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Lighthouse Prep Academy is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for St. Elizabeth, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Hermitage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Elizabeth is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.3 points per game this season.
