Softball Game Preview: Ely Timberwolves vs. Kelley Mariners

Ely hasn't had much luck against Kelley recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Timberwolves will challenge the Mariners at 4:30 p.m. Ely is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Ely blew Chisholm out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Chisholm got their revenge. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Bluestreaks by a score of 4-2.

Ely saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Penke, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Kelley strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over Two Harbors. The Mariners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

Ely's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Kelley, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
