Basketball Game Preview: Union Grove Broncos vs. Racine Park Panthers

The Union Grove Broncos and the Racine Park Panthers will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Racine Park likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Union Grove didn't have quite enough to beat Wilmot and fell 67-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (63), the Broncos still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Racine Park had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 74-59 victory over the Eagles.

Racine Park's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.9 points per game. As for Union Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Union Grove lost to Racine Park at home by a decisive 79-62 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Union Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
