Basketball Recap: Arroyo Gets the Win

Arroyo hadn't done well against Marshall recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Arroyo Knights secured a 51-45 W over the Marshall Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-37 last Tuesday.

Arroyo has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Marshall, they dropped their record down to 2-21 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arroyo will welcome South El Monte at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marshall, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against El Monte at 6:30 p.m.
