Savanna Esqueda made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Reed entered their tilt with McQueen on Thursday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Lancers.
Hayley Noble spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.
At the plate, Krystyn Noble was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 matches.
Reed's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Damonte Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Damonte Ranch hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Reed struggles in that department as they've averaged .382. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
