Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 12-17. They lost 3-0 to the Fennimore Golden Eagles. The Chieftains were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Eagles from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Allie Goplin paced Riverdale's offense, picking up four kills. Goplin got some help from Riley Kinney and her seven assists. Macy McKay controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Fennimore, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-8 record this season. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0).

Addsion Meckley was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and one assist. Those ten digs gave her a new career-high.

Coming up, Riverdale will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mineral Point at 7:00 p.m. As for Fennimore, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cuba City on the 14th.
