Basketball Recap: North Callaway Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mark Twain

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Callaway). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Mark Twain Tigers 83-49. The Thunderbirds haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

North Callaway was led to victory by Jamarion Glover and Jacob Blevins. Glover dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards, while Blevins went 8-for-13 on his way to 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Glover is becoming a predictor of North Callaway's success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 2-1 (and 8-14 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Cunningham, who posted seven points and three steals.

North Callaway's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Mark Twain, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, North Callaway will face off against Missouri Military Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mark Twain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
