Decatur has gone a perfect 6-0 against Marcellus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Raiders will host the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Decatur is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Decatur turned things around against Bangor on Monday. They blew past the Vikings 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won eight games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Decatur got a massive performance out of Sienna Potter, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Emmilynne LaPorte, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Decatur always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bangor only posted an OBP of .333.

Meanwhile, Marcellus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-0 to Centreville.

Decatur now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Marcellus, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Decatur hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Marcellus struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Everything went Decatur's way against Marcellus in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Decatur made off with an 11-0 victory. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
