Recap: Milaca Wolves vs. St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders
The Milaca Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 67-55 to St. Cloud Cathedral. Milaca was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Cloud Cathedral apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Milaca lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brock Talberg, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ben Berg, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Milaca has fallen quite a ways from their 23-7 record last season and are now at 1-11. As for St. Cloud Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Milaca will look to defend their home court on Monday against Kimball at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Kimball's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for St. Cloud Cathedral, they will head out on the road to take on Pierz at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Pierz is on a three-game streak of home losses, St. Cloud Cathedral a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
