After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Florida Christian, Leon was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers a 30-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Lamonika Sims made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Sims was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
