Baseball Recap: North Broward Prep Makes It 12 in a Row at Home

It's playoff time, and North Broward Prep had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the American Heritage Stallions 4-3. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Logan Bristol tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Josiah Haslem, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

North Broward Prep's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for American Heritage, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-12.

North Broward Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Stallions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
