Basketball Recap: Central Find Success

Laurel Hill came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Central, but Autumn Boutwell wouldn't allow it. The Central Jaguars claimed a resounding 72-44 win over the Laurel Hill Hoboes thanks in part to Boutwell, who went 14 for 28 en route to 33 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Central's points.

Another player making a difference was Sophia Harold, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Laurel Hill, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-36 win against Pensacola Christian Academy on the 16th. Laurel Hill has also already played their next game, an 82-37 victory against Northview on the 17th.
