Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sands). They breezed past the Smyer Bobcats to the tune of 75-11 on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Mustangs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Bobcats are ranked 1590th).

Sands' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points on average over those games. As for Smyer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sands will head out to take on Whiteface at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. Smyer and Tahoka will compete for holiday cheer at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
