The Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Northwest with a sharp 64-40 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tse' Yi' Gai also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Tse' Yi' Gai got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brienna Toledo out in front who scored 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tracea Negale, who scored 17 points.
Tse' Yi' Gai's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Northwest, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Tse' Yi' Gai will head out on the road to face off against Jemez Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hozho Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
