Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Panguitch's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Panguitch unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pine View Panthers by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Panguitch wouldn't go down easily and took Pine View into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-12, 15-7.

Kwinlee Johnson paced Panguitch's offense, picking up 12 kills. Johnson got some help from Shylee Keele and her 26 assists. Keele was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Panguitch's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Pine View, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Panguitch will welcome Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pine View, they will host Desert Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
