Baseball Game Preview: Midland Legacy Rebels vs. Permian Panthers

For the second straight game, Midland Legacy will face off against Permian. The Rebels will be playing at home against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Midland Legacy fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Permian on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaden Rogers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Midland Legacy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Neatherlin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Permian's victory bumped their record up to 7-11-1. As for Midland Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-13-1.
