Baseball Recap: South Elgin Takes a Loss

If South Elgin was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Lewis County on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. South Elgin fell just short of the Wilson Central Wildcats by a score of 6-4 on Thursday.

South Elgin saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Muro, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave Muro a new career-high. Another was Kyle Iott, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

South Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wilson Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Coming up, South Elgin will face off against James Clemens at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilson Central, they will head out to square off against Bellbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
