Aztec and Kirtland Central are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2020, but likely not for long. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Broncos at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Cadin Anderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Hunter Clark also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Kirtland Central gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Gallup by a score of 5-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Broncos as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kirtland Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Aztec, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-12.
