Softball Recap: The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria Comes Up Short

After flying high against Douglass Academy last Tuesday, The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria came back down to earth. The Phoenix came up short against the Hunter College Hawks on Thursday, falling 18-3.

The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria will take on Architecture, Engineering and Construction at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Phoenix will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Hunter College, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
