Softball Game Preview: Hillcrest Knights vs. Bonneville Bees

For the second straight game, Hillcrest will face off against Bonneville. The Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Bees at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Hillcrest had taken Bonneville down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Knights took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bees. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Bonneville's part, Gracie Longhurst spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Bonneville let Keeli Miller and Alli Sutherland run wild. Miller scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Sutherland got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI. Miller also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Bonneville and bumps their season record up to 11-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Hillcrest, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
