Recap: Conrad Science Red Wolves vs. Indian River Indians
The Conrad Science Red Wolves pushed their score all the way to 37 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indian River.
Indian River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayvion W chandler, who rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Darnell Stokes was another key contributor, rushing for 94 yards and two touchdowns.
Conrad Science's defeat was their third straight at home , which bumped their record down to 3-6. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Indian River, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Conrad Science will head out on the road to face off against Seaford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Seaford is ranked 38th, while Conrad Science is ranked 40th). As for Indian River, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against First State Military Academy at 6:00 p.m.
