The Hughson Huskies will head out to face off against the Hilmar Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hughson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Hilmar will be up against a hot Hughson squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Huskies came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against Orestimba.

The team relied heavily on Presley Wells, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Grace Leedom, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Wells wasn't the only one making solid contact: Hughson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Hilmar sidestepped Sonora for a 5-4 win.

The victory got Hilmar back to even at 8-8. As for Hughson, their win bumped their record up to 12-6-1.

Hughson came out on top in a nail-biter against Hilmar in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
