Soccer Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield was the 3-1 winner over Streetsboro when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Streetsboro, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Springfield will host Alliance at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alliance's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Springfield's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Streetsboro, they will head out to square off against Marlington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
